2023 Minister’s Arts Education Awards
South Australian educators have been recognised in the 2023 Minister’s Arts Education Awards.
The awards shine a light on arts educators from early childhood, primary and secondary levels, who have demonstrated creativity and innovation in guiding students to realise their potential in the arts.
This year the awards were presented at a World Teachers’ Day awards ceremony, hosted by Educators SA on Friday 27 October.
The winners each receive $8000 to support their professional development in the arts in 2024.
Congratulations to this year’s award recipients:
- Public school secondary educator: Penny Gill from Loxton High School.
Penny will use her award to study Chinese art and culture in China.
- Early career educator: Rebecca Johnson from Mount Gambier High School.
Rebecca will undertake workshops at Fitzroy Painting (VIC) and both the SA and Victorian Art Galleries.
- Non-government school secondary educator: Adam Rogers from Trinity Senior College.
Adam will travel to the Concept Design Academy in Los Angeles to broaden his knowledge and skills.
