Aldinga’s new state-of-the-art birth to year 12 school is now ready to deliver world class learning opportunities for its very first cohort of students.
The new school will cater to the growing enrolment demand from young families in the local area who will benefit from the school and its exceptional list of educational offerings for generations to come.
Aldinga Payinthi College’s expansive layout is articulately mapped with specialised learning hubs for the early, primary, middle, and senior years, with opportunities to connect throughout the outdoor and indoor contemporary spaces.
Combining world-class education and community inclusion, many of the facilities will be available for community use outside of school hours, including the open gymnasium, sporting courts and fields, and 300-seat performing arts centre.
The vast structure takes in more than 3km of aluminium framing, 684.5 tonnage of steel, and 6000m2 glass was used in the gigantic build.
More than 573,700 hours of work have gone into build with a total of 2,245 personnel, including 212 apprentices, working on the site since construction began.
Aldinga Payinthi College is one of four new South Australian public schools opening this year, along with Riverbanks College B-12, Goolwa Secondary College and Whyalla Secondary College.
