Celebrating excellence and equity in public education
The finalists for the 2023 Public Education Awards showcase excellence and equity across public education in South Australia.
Across 11 categories, the awards recognise both individuals and teams who demonstrate the development of learner agency, equity, inclusion, reconciliation and wellbeing.
Through their hard work and dedication, the finalists are impacting the lives of children and young people.
Their achievements range from designing engaging learning experiences in the classroom, to delivering innovative projects to enhance community connections.
“The Public Education Awards recognise our profession’s best work and the crucial role our people play in shaping the lives of children and young people in South Australia,” said Professor Martin Westwell, Chief Executive, Department for Education
“Showcasing excellence and equity, the awards recognise the outstanding practice and contribution our people make in improving the educational outcomes of our students.
“A big congratulations to all those who were nominated in this year’s awards, thank you for your incredible contribution to public education in South Australia.”
Finalists and winners will be celebrated at an awards ceremony on Friday 3 November.
The winner of each category will receive $10,000, with finalists for each category receiving $2,000 to undertake professional learning or purchase resources for their school community.
