SA claims multiple awards at the 2023 Australian Training Awards
South Australia claimed multiple awards, including Silver for both Innovation in VET and Small Training Provider of the Year, at the Australian Training Awards held in Hobart, last night.
Now in its 30th year, the Australian Training Awards rewards and recognises apprentices, trainees, VET students, teachers, practitioners, employers and training providers from around Australia.
Passion, excellence and extraordinary achievements in vocational education and training were showcased and celebrated at the gala event attended by over 700 guests representing all corners of Australia’s VET sector.
Winners from South Australia joined recipients across Australia, who shared inspiring stories of achievement, resilience and dedication.
The South Australian Department for Education’s Student Pathways and Careers Division took out Silver in the Innovation in VET award, having recently developed the VET in Schools innovation initiative.
The Australian Nursing and Midwifery Education Centre (ANMEC) took out Silver in the Small Training Provider of the Year category for its delivery of a range of nursing courses from Certificate III to Diploma.
The Australian Training Awards not only recognises students but pays tribute to employers, teachers and trainers who support them throughout their VET journey.
South Australian organisations recognised with Bronze awards included:
- South Australian Country Fire Service in the Large Employer of the Year category
- The Quality College of Australia in the Large Training Provider of the Year category
- Tatiara Truck & Trailers Pty Ltd in the Small Employer of the Year category.
