Springbank Secondary College officially opens $11.5m upgrade
Springbank Secondary College has undergone an $11.5 million upgrade, including new learning areas and break out spaces.
The upgrade includes the refurbishment of the school’s main building to provide modern learning areas that are fully accessible and supportive of all learning environments.
The final stages of the upgrade were finished in September of this year, and features larger classrooms with curved joinery and ‘break out’ spaces, along with an upgrade of the school’s gymnasium.
The school’s courtyard was also given a refresh, including a new covered outdoor learning area for school assemblies and lessons.
Located in Adelaide’s southern suburbs, Springbank Secondary College was first opened in February 2019, bringing together the strong histories of Daws Road High School and Pasadena High School.
The school, with more than 200 students, also has strong links with the Australian Science and Mathematics School and Flinders University.
Springbank Secondary College Principal Wendy House said the school is incredibly proud of these modern and contemporary facilities and that the community has been delighted to see this investment made in our future.
“I am thrilled that the students, staff and community of Springbank Secondary College will enjoy these beautiful purpose-designed facilities for many years to come”, she said.
