Students from the Yorke Peninsula will be a step closer to a future career in the resources sector thanks to a partnership with Rex Minerals.

Posters showing the harmful substances found in vapes - including nail polish remover, weed killer and bug spray – will be displayed in all State Government high schools as part of a new campaign hoping to curb the alarming prevalence of vaping among young people.

Enrolments are officially open for the first of the state’s five technical colleges – Findon Technical College – in a milestone for the State Government.

Almost 70 per cent of South Australia’s public high schools will have a formal mobile phone ban in place from the start of term 2 – with many schools bringing the ban forward.

Following an extensive review and community consultation, Coonalpyn Primary School will be formally closed, effective immediately.
