The golf individual championships are for schools who nominate individual players from students who are 13 to 18 years old. Find out more about the event and how you can enter.
Who can participate
To participate in the event, students must
- be enrolled at an affiliated school.
- be aged between 13 to 18 years old as at 31 December 2025
- have a Golf Australia handicap
Where and when
Minor round information
Students can only nominate for one of the following three minor round competitions.
Sandy Creek Golf Club, Williamstown Rd, Sandy Creek on Monday 24 February, 2025 - North.
- Registrations open 7.30am.
- First tee off 8.30am.
- All grades play 18 holes.
The Vines Golf Club of Reynella, Reynella Road, Woodcroft on Monday 3 March, 2025 - South.
- Registrations open 7.30am.
- First tee off 8.30am.
- All grades play 18 holes.
North Adelaide Golf Course, War Memorial Drive, North Adelaide on Wednesday 5 March, 2025 - Central.
- Registrations open 7.30am.
- First tee off 8.30am.
- All grades play 18 holes.
Finals information
Students will be invited to the finals based on performance (stroke) in the minor rounds. Results from the minor round and finals will be considered for state team selection. If you are unable to play in a minor round competition you will need to contact education.schoolsportsa@sa.gov.au with a valid reason for consideration to be invited to the finals day.
West Beach Golf Club Military Road, West Beach on Friday 2 May - TBC.

Results
Results will be made available as soon as possible after the event.
Draw
The draw will be available as soon as possible after nominations close.
- Draw will be made on the basis of Golf Australia handicaps
- There will be no change to a player's grade within 7 days of the event.
- A draw will be sent to nominated school email addressed
- If entries exceed the field capacity a ballot in handicap order will decide the field.
Grades
Grades will be based on Golf Australia (GA) handicaps. School Sport SA reserves the right to prepare a draw for all events based on the number of entries.
- A and B grade boys and A grade girls will play a net competition (minor rounds) and a stroke competition for finals.
- The C grade boys and B grade girls will play a stableford competition.

*Handicap range is an estimate based on previous year. It is subject to change depending on the number of nominations in each grade.
Entry fee
$25.00 including GST per student.
No payment is required on the day. A tax invoice will be sent to schools after the event.
How to enter
Schools must submit the individual golf nomination form by Monday 10 February.
Rules
The R&A official rules of golf will be used.
Ties scores
Playoff for A grade boys and girls championships only, sudden death format.
All other events decided by the Golf Australia countback method using the last round card
- last 9 holes (10 to 18)
- last 6 holes (13 to 18)
- last 3 holes (16 to 18)
- if still tied, hole by hole from 18 backwards
Caddies
Caddies are
- permitted for players aged 13 years of age and under at the first day of competition.
- not permitted for players aged 14 years and above as of the first day of competition.
Measuring devices
A player may obtain distance information only by use of a distance measuring device.
Dress requirements
Players and their caddies must comply with the dress requirements of the host club.
Non-compliance could see the player not allowed to start of asked to leave the course.
Presentations
Presentations will be at the end of the event.
