Students at government primary schools
Step 1
Make sure your child’s primary school has your current email address and your child’s correct residential address. Contact your primary school to update.
These details are used for the ‘registration of interest form’ and to determine your child’s local school.
You will need to supply proof of residence documents to your primary school if you want to make any changes to the address details on the registration of interest form.
Step 2
Families with students enrolled at government primary schools will receive a unique URL (or web address) by email or letter from their primary school at the beginning of term 2 in the week beginning 29 April. The URL is sent to the person who has legal responsibility for the child and can only be submitted once.
Use this URL to access your online registration of interest form and nominate the public secondary school you want your child to attend in 2025. You can nominate up to 3 schools.
Complete and submit the registration of interest form by Friday 24 May 2024.
Paper forms are available from your primary school if you cannot access the internet.
You will receive an enrolment offer between Wednesday 7 August and Friday 9 August 2024.

Offers for enrolment
After the registration of interest process, you will receive an offer from the secondary school which your child has been allocated. You will receive the offer between Wednesday 7 August and Friday 9 August 2024.
More information about how to accept your enrolment offer is available at complete the online enrolment form to start secondary school.
How offers are allocated
Every effort is made to place students at schools in the preferred order of secondary schools from your registration of interest.
Where the student has nominated non-local schools, if the number of applications exceeds the places available at the school, students may be allocated to 1 of the other schools nominated or their zoned/local school.
If your allocated secondary school is not your first choice, the offer for enrolment will also include information about how to request a review of the decision.
