This list of resources helps teachers to continue student learning when students are temporarily not at school.
Our Learning SA
Our Learning SA is a new online curriculum website that has been set up for South Australian students to access learning resources. Our Learning SA will support their education at home.
General resources
- Scootle – a national collection of digital resources for Australian schools aligned to the Australian Curriculum.
- Learning remotely – from the NSW government.
- ABC Education – curriculum-linked videos, games and class resources.
- Australian Children's Television Foundation – programs, books, films, apps and support materials.
- Ted Ed – short videos in the TEDTalk style, with support material designed for teachers.
- PhET – science and maths interactives that allow students to work through a situation or problem, usually allow you to change variables to see the result.
- BBC Bitesize – the UK version of ABC Splash, has resources and interactives from primary and secondary. Since you're outside the UK you won’t be able to use BBC iPlayer, CBBC or CBeebies.
- ABC Education games – interactive activities and games.
- The National Geographic – many activities include a game, simulation or interactive to explain key concepts.
- Explore – Engage – Learn – The History Trust of South Australia’s website provides quality, digital-by-design education programs and resources.
Maths resources
- Scootle – a directory of quality-assured digital learning resources aligned to the Australian Curriculum, with a useful search filter to search for specific years, learning areas and resource type eg video, audio, app, text (primary and secondary).
- NRich (Mathematical thinking) – mathematics resources (primary and secondary).
- Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Mathematics Alliance – inspiring, promoting and supporting improved mathematics outcomes of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students (primary and secondary).
- Australian Association of Mathematics Teachers – units of work, photos videos and resources for teaching mathematics (primary and secondary).
- reSolve: Maths by Inquiry – resources to help students learn mathematics in an innovative and engaging way (primary and secondary).
- Flinders University – STEM Outreach Program aspires to inspire high school students, teachers and the wider community to understand and enjoy the STEM and the environment (secondary).
- Desmos - Advanced graphing calculator that can be used in a web browser and through the mobile app (secondary).
