To give all learners access to high quality education in an environment that supports and challenges learning, we’ve created a collection of online practice guides for educators available on the department’s intranet.
The practice guidance will help educators in schools and preschools support learners to participate in education in the same way as their peers.
The practice guides are one initiative from the department that's designed to improve learning and development outcomes for children and students.
About the practice guides
The online practice guides offer educators hands-on, practical advice to support and extend learning programs for all. They include guidance on inclusive practices and specific additional needs. Each guide summarises the topic and has detailed information about practical adjustments the educator can make in the classroom and as they plan.
They’ve been developed by educators, for educators, and are designed specifically for the South Australian context.
More practice guides are in development and will be released in the future.
Accessing the online practice guides
Department for Education staff can access the full online practice guides on EDi, the department’s intranet (staff login required).
You can download practice guidance fact sheets that summarise the online practice guidance below.
The fact sheets are for teachers and leaders of public preschools and schools. As such they may refer to department specific processes, policies and procedures that may not be externally relevant or available.
