Civics in the City provides financial assistance for regional schools to visit Parliament House in Adelaide. It is a joint initiative of the Parliament of South Australia, Department for Education and Commissioner for Children and Young People.
Successful schools will use the grant to deliver an authentic civics and citizenship learning experience for their students, and broaden learning opportunities for students who wouldn’t ordinarily get the chance to visit South Australia’s Parliament House.

- be located outside of reasonable public transport access from Parliament House, Adelaide
- have not visited Parliament House in Adelaide or Canberra in the last 2 years
