The cricket carnival is a fun based competition for students with disability in years 7 to 12 run in conjunction with the South Australian Cricket Association (SACA). Find out more about the event and how you can enter.
Who can participate
To participate in the event, students with disability must be
- enrolled at an affiliated school
- in year 7 to 12
Where and when
Carnival 1 - Friday 23 February and will start at 10am and finish by 2pm at Park 25, Glover Avenue, Adelaide
Carnival 2- Friday 8 November and will start at 10am and finish by 2pm at Park 25, Glover Avenue, Adelaide
Entry fee
There is no cost to participate.
How to enter
Submit the cricket students with disability carnival nomination form by Friday 25 October.
Carnival format
The competition be run using the T20 blast format with teams divided into 2 categories, entries permitting, with all levels of experience and skills catered for.
- Soft ball, no protective equipment required.
- 4 overs per batting pair
- 2 overs per bowler
- 12 overs per side
All games will be modified to ensure that everyone will
- bat
- bowl
- field
- wicket-keep
A team is made up of 6 players in either mixed or girls only categories. Schools can enter as many teams as they like.
Schools with insufficient numbers to make up a team can nominate individual students to make up combined teams on the day.
Draw
The draw which will include final details will be sent to schools once nominations close.
