Join the School Mental Health Service

We're looking for qualified psychologists, social workers and occupational therapists to join the School Mental Health Service (SMHS).

The service is designed to support young people who may be experiencing mild to moderate mental health problems and intervene early in the development of more serious mental health concerns within an education setting.

The SMHS practitioner will be based in schools and work collaboratively with students and families, school sites, other departmental staff, and external agencies to support young people to improve their mental health and emotional wellbeing.

Who can apply

We're looking for the following qualified practitioners who have experience in delivering mental health support:

  • psychologists
  • social workers
  • occupational therapists.

Practitioners will become valued members of their school community, making a real difference to the mental health of young people across South Australia.
