Structure and features

Create your own drama unit that focuses on skill development through improvisation (eg spontaneity, making and accepting an offer, concentration, and cooperation).

For teachers

  1. Clearly state your learning intention of the lesson.
  2. Select warm up games for students to support your intention.
  3. Students can use improvisation techniques from this website resource to develop a scenario.
  4. Students can submit written and verbal feedback at the conclusion of the lesson.
  5. Teachers can lead with open questioning to encourage critical and creative thinking.

Teacher notes

The process is more important than the final product. Focus on the quality of skill and the readiness to make and accept offers. Encourage critical and creative thinking.
