These resources can be used to support your child as they communicate in spoken language or Auslan:

Hearing resources provides links to apps that you can use with your child to help them learn, laugh, listen and play as they communicate in spoken language or Australian Sign Language (Auslan)

YouTube provides videos of well-known children’s songs where the characters use expressive body language and some signing. This includes:
- The Wiggles Nursery Rhymes 43-minute YouTube video provides a collection of nursery rhymes and children’s songs to sing along to with your child. The alphabet song is repeated with signing for each letter (0:20–1:37)
- Looloo Kids Best Songs for Children is a 59-minute animated YouTube video of children’s songs. The words for each song are at the bottom of the screen. Watch how the characters communicate using their body language. Remember to revisit favourites.
3. You may find the Royal Institute for Deaf and Blind Children (RIDBC) Information useful if you need to communicate with someone who is deaf or your own child. It provides an overview of the following apps designed to support parents and families:
- The RIDBC Auslan Tutor includes over 500 signs
- The RIDBC Auslan Tutor: Key signs is a free resource with 150 key signs.
