This resource teaches students about different components of fitness and how they are measured. The suggested tasks will help students will deepen their practical understanding of fitness testing, and explore how the components of fitness relate to specific sports or physical activities.
Structure and features
The resource gives students examples of websites to find out more about the components of fitness and the different types of fitness tests.
Four tasks for students to complete are described:
- summarise the components of fitness and fitness testing
- design a quiz based on the components of fitness and fitness testing
- record your own footage of fitness testing procedures
- create a guide to fitness testing.
