'Go Noodle' is an interactive site with short videos and interactive games (3-5 min) that encourage students to take regular movement breaks (brain breaks) throughout the day.
This resource is free but you need to create an account, with the option to download the app on a second device.
Structure and features
Structure and features
Teachers and families can use the games to break the day up with some movement, including:
- access 'Go Noodle' at home with video and activity suggestions
- print and complete a progress chart, with at-home ideas for non-screen activities
- play a selection of online games. Our favourite is ‘Run the Red Carpet’ for energy
- download the app to play Go Noodle games
- teachers can create a whole class profile and track class movement.
There are three types of brain breaks that students can use for different purposes, or at different parts of their day:
- 'AirTime' will calm students down prior to taking a test
- 'The Maximo' will focus students brains through yoga
- 'Run With Us' will energise them.
