Free-G (freestyle gymnastics) is a unique fusion of traditional gymnastics and acrobatic tricks. It draws on influences from martial arts, free-running, parkour, tricking and breakdance, and captures the excitement and fast pace of Ninja Warrior.
Structure and features
Free-G introduces students to key concepts and basic skills, and will improve their physical abilities through a heightened sense of spatial awareness.
Learning opportunities
Students can:
- explore and gain confidence in the 'safety roll' video
- watch 9 tutorial videos explaining the basic movements of Free-G
- practice the movements shown in the videos
- become confident in the full movement and its components.
