Want to improve your tennis strokes? This resource helps you master the ground strokes in tennis, and complete practice drills at home - even if you don't have a tennis court.

Structure and features

These resources contain instructional videos and activities that can be performed with minimal or modified equipment.

For students

  • Video yourself attempting the forehand and backhand with, or without, a ball.
  • Watch the instructional videos by tennis professional Scott Draper.
  • Have a go at some of the activities like coordination, shadowing, and footwork.
  • Film yourself again.
  • Compare, analyse and reflect on ways you have improved.

 

Teacher notes

Teachers can browse the Tennis Australia site to find useful information in the Schools/Learn section including information on playing tennis, rules and scoring, benefits, health and fitness, warm ups etc. Generally the information is targeted at secondary students Years 7 - 10.
