Structure and features
- Open the 'Consumer stuff for kids' document.
- Go to Unit 1 Activity 1 ‘Am I a consumer’ (on pages 11 and 12).
- This activity has:
- teacher notes
- pre-learning, during learning, and post-learning details
- a game which might be done as a family
- an extension activity where students identify providers of goods and services in the local print or digital paper. This task can connect with maths (percentages and decimals).
For teachers
- Start with the students prior learning and their present understanding of themselves as consumers.
- Students may have questions which can be researched using other resources.
- Be clear about assessment support and requirements.
