Digital Dialects for languages learning

The Digital Dialects website provides interactive games and languages learning materials incorporating text, audio and illustrations. These activities are suitable for both independent and teacher-directed use.

Games and vocabulary lists include audio for teaching correct pronunciation. Some sections include games that teach alphabets or scripts, materials for learning grammar, spelling, alphabets, verb conjugation, vocabulary and phrases.

The site includes links to supporting study resources, tips for languages learning and understanding language and culture.

Structure and features

Get students to access the 'Digital Dialects' website, where they will find:

  • Language games are presented under topics such as numbers, colours, phrases, vocabulary, days and months and more.
  • Links to external websites with further language learning resources. 

For teachers

Included are materials for learning grammar, spelling, alphabets, verb conjugation, vocabulary and phrases. This site has a small range of language acquisition activities for teachers to incorporate into home learning, or for independent revision and practice.
