Drops is a vocabulary learning app (Apple and Android) which uses a visual approach to learning. With 36 languages available, students can learn independently through games and activities that focus on connecting words with illustrations. Short, fast-paced activities help develop fluency through a 5-minute-a-day vocabulary workout.
Structure and features
The 'Drops' app includes:
- all of the languages of the Australian Curriculum except for Auslan, Aboriginal languages and Classical languages
- 5 minutes a day to practice vocabulary using visual cues
- activities to support writing in a range of scripts including Chinese Hanzi, Indian Devanagari, Japanese Kana and more
