Structure and features
Get students to access the 'Easy Italian News' website
News bulletins are posted every 2 to 3 days and include concise text, audio readings and links to Italian news sources. Students can subscribe to receive bulletins directly in their email, or browse past bulletins by year and month. There is a PDF of the best articles from 2018/19 that is available at a cost, but students or teachers can access a free sample chapter containing the topics 'a year in Italian politics', 'foreign crime' and 'global facts and discoveries'.
For teachers
This is an excellent resource for older students to practice reading and listening, as well as gaining insights into Italian perspectives on world events. Teachers can develop comprehension questions, set up discussion groups, or encourage students to select a news story to present to the rest of their classmates.
