In this unit, year 7 students will explore percentages the activities that are designed for the virtual classroom. Websites including Transum and Nrich are used to provide meaningful learning experiences.
Stage 4 is the equivalent to year 7.
Structure and features
Tasks to complete:
- find percentages of quantities
- express one quantity as a percentage of another
- increasing and decreasing a quantity by a given percentage and problem solving
- percentages greater than 100
- solve a variety of real-life problems involving percentages, percentage composition problems and problems involving money
- matching fractions, decimals and percentages.
