In this science investigation you'll solve the problem of producing high quality water.
Structure and features
Design and build a water filtration device using commonly available materials - following the same design process used by the engineers and scientists who developed the International Space Station water recovery system for NASA.
To meet this challenge, use an iterative process to build, test and measure the performance of the filtration device, analyse the data collected, and use this information to work towards an improved filtration design.
After completing the challenge:
- which filter media were most effective at filtering the water?
- how might you further improve upon the water filter design?

- Water.
Students learn the separation technique using filtration. Students apply this knowledge to design and test the filtered water for its quality.
