Think about new staff

All new staff and volunteers to the school should know about your school’s postvention plan. This includes teaching and non-teaching staff.

Teaching staff must be familiar with the school’s support processes for students identified as vulnerable.

Choose someone from your school’s emergency response team to be the contact point for new staff.

Forward planning

The postvention plan should include the scheduled meetings for the emergency response team. Your team should keep this plan active until the student population has changed.
