Future Leaders has been designed for the department in consultation with education leaders and external experts, to identify and support your preparation and development to become a site leader.
Future Leaders has enabled me to understand my strengths and weaknesses in the leadership space and has provided structure to my development. It has helped me move out of my comfort zone, and I am already seeing improvement in my leadership.

Program overview
Future Leaders is a multi-stage process that will engage you in a world leading program of activities and assessments to evaluate your aspiration, readiness and potential to progress to higher levels of leadership. The unique design of this program allows you to complete most stages online, with 1 program day at Orbis and a 2 hour face-to-face feedback meeting with you and your sponsor at your site.
Expert coaching
On completion of the Future Leaders program day, you’ll be supported to further develop specific leadership skills through personalised, confidential coaching. Our highly experienced coaches will support you to build your confidence, complemented by leadership resources delivered through a digital coaching platform.
Development experiences
On completion of the Future Leader program, you may be offered the opportunity to participate in a development experience. These align to your individual development goals and will further support your preparation for site leadership. A development experience could include:
- Strategic leadership coaching
- Mentoring
- Development placement
- Professional learning
- Career services
